Are There Membership Fees?

We are tinkering with how to develop sustainable food solutions for our community. The membership fee helps us to cover the ongoing overhead costs associated with running this market and providing this service. It allows us to provide the staffing and facilities to operate this market. It also will allow us to provide additional education to our community about food sustainability. The annual fee is $25 per household for one calendar year. You are welcome to try us for two orders before officially becoming members.

Will I Need To Buy Vegetables I Don't Want?

We offer two options. Our multi-farm CSA subscription basket is a curated basket that weekly provides you with an assortment of goodies from our local farms. But unlike some co-ops, buying clubs, or CSAs where everyone gets the same box of stuff (and you don’t know what you’re getting until you get it), with the Seeds Cafe Online Market, you can also order what you want, in the quantities you want, from the farms you want. The weekly email lists the produce, milled products, fresh flowers, and artisan goods available that week, and you can browse the items on this website before you place your order.

How Do I Order?

Each Friday morning, a list of available products is sent by email to all of our customers. You must place your order for the week no later than Monday at 8pm. Orders can be placed here on our website.

When Do I Pay?

We accept credit/debit cards for online payment. Your payment is accepted at the time of purchase and finalized on market day. There are some instances where the total of your order may change. For instance, when a farmer lists their products, they are actually forecasting what they will have available on the pickup day. It is possible that between the time you place your order and when you pick it up there could have been a frost, the bunnies may have eaten the crop, or it just wasn’t ripe yet; the farmer will remove that item from your order, changing the total. So even though it requires you to add your debit/credit card to your account here, we don’t actually charge your card until the market is over.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover for payment.

When and Where do I pick up my order?

Orders are available for pickup from 12 noon to 6pm Wednesdays. You will pick your order up at Seeds Cafe (245 White Pond Road, Williston, South Carolina 29853).
